Back in April a couple readers noticed some movement within the long empty retail space at 1401 S. State. At the time, no one really knew what it was, but hoped for a convenience store. Sounds like they're going to be a little disappointed:I know it's not sexy, but it looks like an insurance office called Country Financial opened in the office space of the building at 1401 S. State. Can't remember if I had seen a post about this before or not.In other "non-sexy" retail news, it seems like American National has setup an office at 1250 S. Michigan Suite A. We're not 100% sure if this is new, but it appears to be. This suite used to be the sales office for the building.
