Acadia Earns Prestigious Five Diamond Award from AAA; Enters Rarefied Restaurant Category

Some people roll their eyes about awards, but in the restaurant business it's a big deal.  While winning a Michelin Star for the second straight year was an accomplishment for Acadia (1639 S. Wabash), this honor puts them in an even more exclusive category of restaurant.  There are only 6 other restaurants in Chicago (Alinea, Arun's, Everest, Grace, Sixteen and Tru) with this classification and only 7 in total in New York.  Pretty impressive company.

For more background on the exclusivity, AAA provides this tidbit:
This exclusive group represents just 0.3 percent of the 59,000 AAA/CAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants. Five Diamond establishments stand apart using highly personalized approaches and creativity to enhance guest comfort and provide memorable experiences.
Congrats to Acadia on the honor and glad to have you in the hood!
