First up is the more feasible of the pair, an interesting skyscraper that would serve neighboring higher education institutions (please note this is at Wabash and Van Buren - just north of the Sloop):

Something even cooler and probably even more iconic would be this crazy design for a Wooden Skyscraper concept just north of River City:

Yes! Wooden Skyscraper! Anything but that British dirtbag's stupid twin towers and bridge!
ReplyDeleteThere is no possible way to build a wooden skyscraper in this, or probably any other city on earth.
ReplyDeleteIt may become a reality one day! Not necessarily this one, but wooden skyscrapers in general: http://inhabitat.com/michael-green-unveils-wooden-tallwood-skyscraper-for-vancouver/
ReplyDeleteWood isn't realistic, but I dig the proposal for the site at Wells/Harrison. Way more interesting than the usual, boring South Loop apartment/condo towers of the past. And agreed... way better than that ridiculous proposal from the new owner of the old post office.
ReplyDeleteIs officer Brill involved in this also? If so, where is his car parking area?
