Public meetings? They held five public meetings before there was any map out there. This is all about protection of the power structure in the city council. Public hearings are a sham.

ReplyDeleteUpdate: Bad news for the South Loop. It looks like the city council may have reached an agreement and will be voting soon, with the expectation that a slightly revised version of the black caucus map will pass. For those who don't recall, that map's the one that moves the 2nd ward to the northside and splits the South Loop into 4 wards.
