Hey Sloopy-
It's been a while since there was any action at this space (Orange - 75 W. Harrison), but this morning the doors were open, and workers outside. Sorry the shot isn't closer, but from across the street I could see in and it was totally demo'd just a pile of concrete. Any word on the street of what might be going on in this space?
thanks.

There is a note posted in the Printers Square building about the construction. It's being turned into a backup generator location by Com Ed for the commercial offices in the building.
Unfortunate.
BOOOOO!!!!
LAMMMMMMMMMMME.
How in the world does that surprise anyone?!? This location failed as Orange, which is thriving at their locations in every other neighborhood.
I disagree... Orange seemed to be thriving when it was open on Harrison. There was always a wait for a table. It was a surprise to even their employees when they closed.
Also, Printer's Square isn't bringing much to the neighborhood when it comes to commercial space, filling most of it with servers and backup generators. What a bummer. That stretch of Harrison is doomed to be a nothing stretch, I guess... that awesome drive-thru 5/3 bank and that run down parking garage sure do bring some liveliness to Harrison Street!
I live right around the corner. Orange was usually deserted all week long. It got busy on the weekends, especially when college students were around. I loved the atmosphere and juice bar.
As of yesterday the front doors of this space are solidly boarded over with raw plywood. It looks horrible, a complete eyesore from the street.
you can't make every street corner beautiful....
Too bad it can't be another sports bar that Sloopin could wet itself over.
So much hate on Sloopin today. Positive vibes people!
This Orange location was D-E-A-D Monday thru Friday, and only croweded during peak brunch times in good weather on the weekends. By contrast, the Orange locations on the north and west sides are packed every day, year long.
Orange looked like that old tiki place I visited when I was 18 that had elvis night. Thank God they are closed! We have moved on to better breakfast/lunch spots that are part of this century! I def did not support them. Little Branch, Yolk, Bongo Room, Waffles -PACKED AS WELL!
