The "shots in the sloop" being highlighted (again) this morning by both the sun-times and the tribune is the drive-by shooting that took place at 19th and Union last night. Thanks again, neighbors!
Those of you who still aren't convinced that the Roosevelt El stop is violent need to read the story in today's Sun-Times which recalls the violent beating death of a man by 4 20-somethings from Englewood at the stop in 2008. Still want a new station at 18th street?
I am so tired of the fear-mongering on this site by people who are apparently terrified of anyone poorer or darker than they are. More mass transit only helps our neighborhood.
