Great. Now that he is in the neighborhood maybe he can explain to me how developers can keep commercial space vacant for years without getting a tenant.
There should be some discussion with the alderman about what benefits the developers get for tax breaks by showing a loss with vacant commercial space. Our neighborhood shouldn't be held hostage of commercial space because developers need tax shelters. I understand the economy prevents a lot of expansion but really? Explain to me how some high rises built over four years ago have certain commercial spaces that have never been rented.
