With that mind, we wanted to end the week with three recent businesses that officially opened up their doors:
TLC Cafe (424 S. Wabash)
We've posted about TLC in the past and It appears that everything is set up for the grand opening:
Donna's Cafe (1255 S. State)
We've had a lot of coverage of Donna's Cafe in the past and although the doors were open, the "official" opening just happened. The Chicago Journal had a good read in the most recent edition and we suggest you take a read.
Bikram Yoga Chicago (47 W. Polk)
Again, covered by Sloopin in the past if you're interested in background, but the hot yoga establishment opened it's doors in Dearborn Station this past Monday. Check out their website for more info.
Best of luck to these businesses and we're glad to have you in the Sloop!

#1 and #3 are not in the South Loop.
Love having Bikram Yoga Chicago so close. The new studio is lovely.
Have to agree, the Bikram Yoga studio is lovely, and I'm so happy it is so close.

#3 is DEFINITELY in the South Loop (southern tip of Printer's Row, which South Loop incorporates).
I think #1 could be debatable... some say Van Buren is the northern border and some (like myself) say Congress Prkwy.
I was looking forward to Donna's, but after having some friends have a really bad customer service experience there I don't think they'll be getting my business. You'd think a new business would want to focus on good customer service, but these folks acted put out that people came in and actually wanted to order something.
@Lucy, I'm sorry you or was it your friend that had a bad experience. Please do come in and speak with me about it and I will address this issue.
I would like to thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Donna
Thanks, Donna. I've passed this on to my friends, so hopefully they'll stop by and/or call you to discuss the poor service they received.
The food, service, atmosphere, and prices @ Little Branch Cafe blow Donna's out of the water! And these places serve pretty much the exact same stuff.
Not surprising since Little Branch Cafe isn't run by a member of the Chicago Police Union.
I went into Donna's for the first time last week and I LOVED it. I'm pretty sure the Orchard salad is the best salad I have ever had. And it was relatively cheap.
I also loved how Donna actually conversed with us myself and my friends while we were waiting for our food. As a Dance Center student, I feel I get ignored at a lot of places in the SLoop because I'm in sweats and a student. She also was willing to let the Dance Center put posters for upcoming shows up which is awesome. She seems to be one of the few business owners who is interested in incorporating the vibrant arts community in the Sloop into her business.
