A suspicious package disrupted CTA service at a South Loop El station late Tuesday.
The bomb squad eventually blew up the package, which was found Tuesday around 10:30 p.m. near Roosevelt and State. It turned out to be a suitcase.
There was nothing dangerous or explosive inside. But the scare forced disruptions of the Orange and Green Line trains that run at the nearby Roosevelt station.
As if this eL stop isn't shady/scary enough. Now we add explosives! Hopefully the blast knocked some of the bird crap, grafitti, and urine stains from the structure.
