A reader sent us an email titled "Cuatro ~ Miracle on 21st Street" and to be honest we were a little surprised to read that
Cuatro (2030 S. Michigan) was reopening (after a couple days of being closed). Although it's good news it's definitely peculiar. For more background here a link to a post
we had last Wednesday.
The
announcement is below:

YES !!!!! Great food, drinks, patio seating.
This makes my day!!! Our favorite neighborhood joint is saved!
Great family owned place.
Sweet, now I'll actually have to try the place--I'd been meaning to for months.
Good to hear! I had chicken there once... it wuz good.
It was too good to be true. This place plays the loudest most obnoxious music from 10pm to well past 2am every Thurs-Sat and for some of us that live in the building that it is attached to, Cuatro closing was a blessing. The silence last Thursday night was incredible. I am not unhappy about them re-opening (the food is amazing), I just wish they would turn their bass down to an acceptible level.
Let the police know or send a letter to your alderman about the noise. I am sure they can bring it down a notch.
