I spoke with the property managers at Library Tower and they said the second retail place is being rented out to something along the lines of Illinois Broadcast School. Small place for a school, but if you go by you can clearly see it is some type of office so this makes sense.(Hat Tip to AC)

ANON (SC)- Can you call Lexington Condos on Michigan/Indiana and see if they have ANY plans for the retail there?
I don't know anyone that lives there, but this place seems like a complete albatross.
It's a tiny little cosmetic thing, I'll grant you, but would it kill them to finish the metalwork around their front planter features?
Terrible building. But to give the developer some small amount of credit, it is a bastardized version of the original concept which would have been much taller and much less - um - squat.
It does have one redeeming feature, which is the very nice pocket park on the corner of State/Harrison. It is fully fenced and for the moment is dog friendly. We'll see how long THAT lasts, but so far the people who use it seem to be keeping it clean.
Carl -
They finally welded the planters together a couple of months ago. Does something else remain unfinished? They ran out of funds until sales picked up again, but finally were able to finish those and put the glass awning up over the entrance. Happened a little bit before they started on the park.
And if my opinion counts for anything, I live in the building and love it.
Thanks for the clarification, LT Res. Your opinion is welcomed and valued.
Just out of curiosity, does your building actually have a private theater/screening room as once advertised?
I actually like the exterior design of this building. It has character that other new buildings lack. After looking at the floor plans, the only thing I don't like is the number of units per floor. Also, the layout of the 1 bedrooms look similar to CMK's units (long hallway).
Hey Carl -
Yep, nice theater room on the top floor. There's also a large party room and a full kitchen up there. We've thrown some great parties.
The one thing we're pissed off about that still hasn't been delivered... the indoor dog run. Last winter the pipes froze in it and ever since it has been a storage room for the construction crew. No clue on what they plan to do on that one. Yet we still get marketing emails from Lennar touting the indoor dog run.
Would you mind letting me know what your monthly assessments are and what's covered?
I own a unit in the building. Before I bought I looked at Mich Tower 2, Vision on State, Vetro, Astoria. And, Library Tower is by far superior to the other buildings. Real solid hardwood floors, fp, 10 ft cielings, huge balcony...Brick exterior, nice touch. And, the cost is reasonably cheap for the value.
