Yes, I'm a graphic designer and even I didn't get the reversed "type" letters. I thought they just laid the concrete blocks out wrong so it wasn't spelling the words out correctly. lol. nice idea but very poor execution. too bad. now we're stuck with it. :-(

This is going to be great. Although, I'm a bit worried about it staying nice with the number of dogs we have in this neighborhood. (Mine included.)
Good point, Scrumpy!
From one dog owner to another, I'd like to drive the point home . . .
PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS!!!
Two questions:
Are there plans to paint crosswalk(s) to this across Dearborn?
Why is the typography on the cast concrete seating blocks mirror-imaged/backwards?
Anon - It just occured to me that the type is backwards like it would be on an old printing press.
No clue on the crosswalks.
Yes, the "type" features are supposed to represent old fashioned movable/offset printing blocks.
I'll grant you, the execution is not good on many levels and there's waaaaaay too many elements.

Looks like said park could open as early as this week.
A mass email from our alderman's office stated that this park is currently open to the public . . . it is not.
