The Bears 2009 come home to Soldier Field this Sunday for their first regular season game in Chicago. It's going to be a tough one as we play host to the defending champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Should be a crazy scene in the Sloop on Sunday. The game starts at 3:15pm, but expect tailgaters early!
Bear Down...
Time to roll on the Steelers...where are the Slooping hot spots to tailgate/park? I'll be in for the Lions game in two weeks...any suggestions would help a ton
ReplyDeletePeople tailgated yesterday at the lot at Clark & Polk near me. I wouldn't call it a "hot spot" since it's still quite a trek to Soldier Field and no restroom facilities AFAIK.
ReplyDeleteGreat place to tailgate is @ 1600 - 1700 south Prairie Ave. (XO sales center lot). Close to 18th Street bridge and restroom facilities provided.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions. I believe I've parked in the Prairie Street parking garage a few times. Its real good b/c of the restrooms provided. Do you know how much it is now?
ReplyDeleteI think it's about 35 or 40 bucks. Definitely worth it to avoid the post-game deluge @ the Soldier Field lots. Plus, you can walk to Krolls, Weather Mark, or Grace O'Malley's for a pre-game or post-game brew.
ReplyDeleteSo is that lot on Prairie Ave. a garage or normal lot? Also do you know if it fills up real early on gamedays?
